Sustainability Commission Progress

Council appointed the Sustainability Commission to guide the implementation of the Strategic Sustainability Plan (SSP). The Commission is governed by the Sustainability Commission bylaw and consists of seven community members and two councilors. The Commission is assisted by one City staff member and one City contractor. The Commission has appointed three Task Forces to address the first SSP Focus areas prioritized by Council.

The Sustainability Commission is working to support the Task Forces and complete key projects relating to the SSP. It has finalized its Communications Plan, Guiding Principles and Protocols and Task Force Terms of Reference.  To view some of these process documents go to the process document section of this website.
